Cam Clark Ford invites local community to
‘Fill an F150’ for the Airdrie Food Bank
Local dealership to load truck with donated
food to help battle hunger during the holidays
Airdrie,
AB
(Tuesday, November 8, 2011) – Cam Clark Ford and the Airdrie Food Bank team up to
‘Fill an F150’ with food donations to help raise awareness and battle hunger in
Airdrie. The dealership will be collecting non-perishable food items to
fill the truck until Saturday, December 10th, 2011.
“We
are excited to host the ‘Fill an F150’ campaign for the Airdrie Food Bank,”
says Chris Tobias, the Sales Consultant at Cam Clark Ford who initiated the
campaign, “we want to do our part this holiday season to give back to the
community and help those who need it most.”
This
is the second annual food donation campaign hosted by Cam Clark Ford.
Last year, the dealership was able to donate more than $2000 worth of food and
they hope to exceed that amount this year.
“Cam
Clark Ford has been a wonderful partner that has done a lot for the Airdrie
Food Bank as well as for the community. The donations will come to us at
a crucial time with the need for our services expanding,” says Lori McRitchie,
Executive Director at the Airdrie Food Bank.
A
long standing business in the Airdrie community, Cam Clark Ford has always been
a strong supporter of the local food bank. In 2010, Cam Clark Ford, along
with local resident Stan and Jane Grad, donated a 2009 Ford E-150 cargo van to
the Airdrie Food Bank to help the organization deliver donations around the
city.
“We
are very grateful for the vehicle they donated, we use it every day and it has
helped us tremendously with expanding our services and reaching the people who
need the food bank,” says McRitchie.
To
donate, bring non-perishable food items to the Cam Clark Ford dealership
located at 925 Veterans Blvd, Airdrie and help ‘Fill an F150’. The
dealership is open from 8:30am to 9pm (Monday to Thursday), 8:30am to 6pm
(Friday to Saturday), and closed on Sunday. Donations will be collected until
Saturday, Dec 10th.
